This independent tour from Lucerne combines a round-trip cruise on Lake Lucerne, a cogwheel train ride to Mount Rigi Kulm, and an aerial cable car ride to the town of Weggis. You start by cruising across Lake Lucerne, enjoying views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Then, you take the cogwheel railway up to Rigi Kulm, known as the Queen of the Mountains, where you have about one hour to explore. From Rigi Kulm, you board an aerial cable car down to Weggis, a lakeside town. The trip ends with a return boat cruise back to Lucerne. The tour lasts between four and eight hours, allowing you to move at your own pace using pre-booked tickets and detailed timetables. Note that from 10 March to 4 April 2025, the cable car from Rigi Kaltbad to Weggis will be closed for maintenance. During this period, the route to Rigi will be made via Vitznau for both outbound and return journeys.
