Overview

This full-day bus tour from Zurich lasts about 9 and a half hours and includes a visit to Mount Titlis and Lucerne. The trip starts at the Sihlquai Bus Station in Zurich, traveling through the city, Swiss countryside, and along Lake of the Four Cantons to Lucerne. There is a short guided orientation drive highlighting Lucerne’s main sights such as Chapel Bridge, Town Hall, Jesuit Church, and the Culture and Convention Centre (KKL), followed by around 50 minutes of free time to explore Lucerne’s Old Town. The tour then continues to Engelberg, where participants take aerial cable cars, including the revolving Rotair, to reach the summit of Mount Titlis at 3,000 meters above sea level. From the summit, views of glaciers, ice boulders, and crevasses can be seen. At Mount Titlis, visitors spend about one hour before descending (subject to changes from June 2026 due to construction). The Mount Titlis section includes access to the Ice Flyer chairlift (weather permitting), which passes close to the glacier’s crevasses. Guests can walk across Europe’s highest suspension bridge, the Cliff Walk, visit the Glacier Cave, and try snow tubing in Glacier Park, which is available in summer and winter depending on the season. The tour includes a professional multilingual guide, transportation by air-conditioned coach, and carbon-balanced operations certified by myclimate. An optional Snow Experience is available in winter for ski beginners aged 10 and older. This option includes supervised snow tubing and a chance to try skiing on beginner slopes, with equipment provided by Titlis Snow Park staff. This option is weather dependent and does not include the Ice Flyer ride. Food, drinks, hotel pickup, gratuities, winter clothing, and personal expenses are not included. The tour operates in all weather conditions, and warm clothing and suitable shoes are required. The day concludes with return to Zurich’s Sihlquai Coach Terminal around 7 pm.
