Overview

Witness for yourself the Philippines' "Beautiful Disaster," as immortalized by a local film. Situated in the north of Metro Manila, you'll find the ever-active and renowned Mount Pinatubo. This volcano gained fame for two distinct reasons: its mesmerizing beauty and the catastrophic eruption of 1991, which reverberated globally as the "Lahar" or mudflow devastated the livelihood of locals and cast a shadow over the area's tourism industry. Now, safely back on track, an adventurous trek will undoubtedly enrich your Mount Pinatubo experience. Embark on a thrilling 14 km trail that commences with a scenic 4x4 ride to the trek's starting point. Be prepared to traverse small rivers under the scorching sun; it won't be a simple journey, but it adds to the allure of trekking in Mount Pinatubo. Undoubtedly, this will be a remarkable experience. If time permits, we'll make a stop at an Aeta tribe village on the way back from the Pinatubo crater. The Aetas are one of the Philippines' earliest indigenous communities, and Mount Pinatubo has been their sanctuary for millennia. This offers a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in their culture and way of life.
