Overview

This three-hour tour starts at St. Mark’s Square in Venice, where participants board a semi-private water taxi for a crossing of the Laguna di Venezia to Murano Island. On the boat, a qualified tour guide provides information about the lagoon and offers assistance. Upon arrival on Murano, the group visits a traditional glass furnace for a 30-minute glassblowing show. During this demonstration, a master glassblower shapes molten glass into finished pieces, showcasing the Made in Italy art of Murano glass. Visitors stand close to the furnace to watch the process and may purchase glass items on site. After the demonstration, the guide leads a walk through Murano’s canals and artisan workshops, explaining the island’s glassmaking tradition. The tour includes the glassblowing show, a qualified guide, and round-trip water taxi transport. Food, drinks, and hotel pickup are not included. Participants must arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before departure and present a printed voucher. The tour operates in most weather conditions except exceptionally bad weather, when it may be postponed.
