This private day tour in Beijing lasts about eight hours and covers three major sites: Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Mutianyu Great Wall. The day begins with pickup at a designated meeting point. The first stop is Tiananmen Square, where visitors can spend time viewing this large public square, known for its historical and political significance. Next, the tour proceeds to the Forbidden City, the world’s largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex. Visitors spend about one and a half hours exploring the main areas of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has 9,999.5 rooms and was home to 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Entrance to the Great Wall is included, but cable car, chairlift, and toboggan rides are optional extras available for purchase on site.
