Overview

This small-group tour in Mykonos lasts about four and a half hours and combines walking in the pedestrian zone of Mykonos Town with travel by car. After pickup from your hotel or cruise port, the tour begins with a guided walk through the narrow streets of Mykonos Town’s old quarter, where you may see Petros the pelican, the island’s mascot, and have time for photos. Next, you visit the Windmills (Kato Milli) on a nearby hill, which historically used the Meltemi winds to mill wheat. The tour continues with a brief stop at Little Venice, located on Alefkandra harbor, where you can see the Aegean Sea. By car, the route passes some of the island’s more remote beaches, including Agia Anna and Kalo Livadi, before arriving in the village of Ano Mera. In Ano Mera, the group passes through the central square lined with outdoor tavernas and coffee shops, where a light snack and a glass of tsipouro, a Greek distilled spirit, are served. You then visit the 16th-century Monastery of Panayia Tourliani in Ano Mera, known for its dome (tourlos) and the Icon of the Virgin Mary. Afterward, there is a stop at Agrari Beach, a long sandy beach divided between areas with umbrellas and sunbeds and open sand, featuring clear water and a more affordable restaurant option. The tour also includes a visit to the Church of Paraportiani near the Kastro neighborhood, noted for its distinctive architecture and seaside location. The final stop is the Agios Ioannis settlement, named after its hilltop church overlooking the beach, offering views of Delos island and nearby hotels. The order of stops may vary. Included are pickup and drop-off, entrance to the monastery, snacks, and air conditioning in the vehicle.
