by New Orleans School of Cooking
The class features a cooking demonstration led by a knowledgeable chef at the New Orleans School of Cooking, located in a historic molasses warehouse in the French Quarter. It lasts about two hours and covers the basics of Louisiana cooking, including making gumbo, jambalaya, and pralines. After watching the preparation, participants enjoy a full meal that includes generous samples of all the dishes made, along with coffee, iced tea, water, and one local beer. Attendees receive printed recipes to take home and can earn a diploma by submitting photos of their dishes made at home. This is a demonstration-only class, so there is no hands-on cooking involved.
