Overview

This small-group bike tour in New Orleans lasts about three hours and covers both historical and cultural highlights of the city. The ride begins in the French Quarter with stops at Jackson Square and the Mississippi River front, where the Creole history of the city started. The route continues to Faubourg Marigny, known as the city's oldest neighborhood outside the French Quarter and a center for live music. The tour then visits St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, an above-ground cemetery in the Bayou St John area. Afterward, the group cycles to New Orleans City Park, which has the largest collection of mature live oak trees in the state, some between 400 and 850 years old. The next stop is the Treme neighborhood, known as the original community of free people of color. The final main stop is Louis Armstrong Park, a site important to the origins of jazz and New Orleans music culture. The tour concludes by riding back through the French Quarter streets to the starting point at Buzz Nola. The tour includes a comfortable bike with a basket, bottled water, and a local guide, with gratuities not included.
