Overview

New York City’s 9/11 Memorial marks the site of the 2001 terrorist attacks at Ground Zero. This private tour lasts between two and four hours and is led by a guide who has a personal connection to the events of that day. The tour starts at St. Paul’s Chapel, a historic church built in 1766 that survived the debris from the attacks. The guide explains the chapel’s role supporting the community after 9/11. Next, the tour visits the National September 11 Memorial plaza, where visitors can pay respects at the memorial pools, including the Survivor Tree and Reflecting Absence waterfalls, the largest man-made waterfalls in North America. The guide shares stories of tragedy, heroism, and resilience throughout this part of the visit. There is an option to upgrade for a skip-the-line ticket to the 9/11 Museum. This upgrade allows for a self-guided visit to the museum’s collection of artifacts, media, and memorabilia related to 9/11. The guided tour itself lasts about 90 minutes, with the optional museum visit typically taking around two hours. The museum visit is subject to closing times and security checks. This tour includes the private guide, the memorial visit, and the optional museum ticket if selected.
