Overview

The tour begins at the Niagara Parks Welcome Centre, where participants meet the licensed guide. The group walks along the Niagara Parkway, stopping at several lookout points to view all three waterfalls: Canadian Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. During the walk, the guide provides information about the area's history and points out more than 20 landmarks, including Queen Victoria Place, the Skylon Tower, the Nikola Tesla statue, and historic power stations built in the early 1900s. The walk includes visits to parks and garden areas, views of the international bridge connecting Canada and the USA, and stories such as the barge stranded upriver and its rescue. There is a break at a popular viewing area near the falls with restrooms, exhibits, and souvenir shops. The walking portion lasts about 90 minutes in total. The tour concludes with the world famous Hornblower boat cruise at the base of Horseshoe Falls, lasting about one hour. The cruise includes a souvenir poncho and takes guests close to the falls’ base. Admission fees, skip-the-line tickets for the boat cruise, souvenir ponchos, and a coupon for a free maple syrup tasting at Maple Leaf Place (to be used after the tour) are included. Food, drinks, transportation, and hotel transfers are not included. Participants should be able to walk at a moderate pace for about 30 minutes during the tour.
