This open-air jet boat tour on the Niagara River lasts about 45 minutes and departs from the American side, returning there as well. You will ride through fast-moving waters known as the white water playground, including the Class V Devil's Hole Rapids, where the boat maneuvers through strong rapids that will soak you thoroughly. After navigating these rapids, the boat travels upriver to the farthest point of the trip, where you can see the Niagara Whirlpool. The Whirlpool is separated from Niagara Falls by Class VI rapids, which are too dangerous and illegal to pass. The tour includes a live commentary from a Coast Guard certified captain, a pre-trip briefing and safety orientation, and ponchos with approved life jackets for each passenger. A 6% fuel surcharge is included in the price. Note that Niagara Falls itself is not visible during this ride. Souvenir photos and waterproof footwear are not included but can be purchased, or you may bring your own footwear. Participants should arrive 45 minutes before departure to complete registration and safety procedures. The tour is wheelchair accessible, but passengers must be able to sit independently and hold onto the seat bar. There are height and age restrictions for seating in the wet jet boat, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone when seated in the first 3-4 rows. Late arrivals or no-shows do not receive refunds, but rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before departure without extra charge. Rescheduling within 24 hours incurs a 10% fee.
