Overview
The tour begins on foot with a local guide who was born and raised in Nice, starting at Place Massena. Visitors will walk through the city’s main square and learn about Nice’s history and landmarks. The guide leads the group to Marche aux Fleurs on Cours Saleya, where participants spend about 30 minutes exploring the flower market and sampling local foods and specialties, including "Pissaladière," a traditional dish made by the guide’s mother. Next, the tour continues to Castle Hill (Colline du Chateau), where the group sees the lively Cours Saleya market, the Promenade des Anglais, the Old Nice port, the Belanda Tower, and the historic hilltop area. This section lasts about an hour. The final part of the walk covers the Old Town (Le Vieux Nice), with its narrow streets, baroque churches, boutique shops, and restaurants. Participants spend around an hour here, taking in the busy squares and local atmosphere. This walking tour lasts about two hours and fifteen minutes. It includes a local guide who provides insights and recommendations for authentic restaurants and dishes to try in Nice. Bottled water is not included.
