Overview

This half-day sea kayak and snorkel tour at Ningaloo Reef lasts about 3 and a half hours. Participants paddle double sit-on-top kayaks through the Bundegi Sanctuary Zone, a protected area known as a nursery for marine life. The shallow waters offer chances to see turtles, rays, and juvenile reef sharks. Guests can snorkel directly from their kayaks among the sheltered coral formations. Groups are usually limited to 8 people but can accommodate up to 16. Tour times vary daily based on tides; the operator can provide current schedules on request. The tour includes snorkel gear such as snorkel, mask, fins, and wetsuits during the season. Guides provide complimentary photos throughout the trip. Transportation is arranged with pick up and drop off from accommodations in Exmouth town. Safety equipment like life jackets and sun protection items including long sleeve shirts, broad brim hats, and polarized sunglasses are supplied. Light snacks are offered during the outing. Participants should bring their own drinking water, towel, and sunscreen, preferably reef-safe. Dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Kayaks have a maximum individual weight limit of 110 kilograms. Children aged 8 to 17 may join only if accompanied by an adult. For communication before the tour, guests are asked to provide an Australian mobile phone number and email; only Telstra or Optus networks have coverage in Exmouth.
