Overview

This 3.5-hour walking food tour in Boston is led by a local guide and includes multiple tastings and lunch. The tour begins in the North End, Boston's Little Italy, where participants try an iconic cannoli and Sicilian pizza from a James Beard Classics Award-winning restaurant. During warmer months, the group also samples traditional Italian slush, bread from a bakery recognized three times as Best of Boston, and freshly made mozzarella. Guests then choose between Mamma Connie's famous meatball or house-made Limoncello. On Fridays and Saturdays, the tour continues in the Boston Market District, starting with a 20-minute visit to the historic Haymarket Market, the oldest outdoor market in the country. Next, the group spends about 30 minutes at the indoor Boston Public Market, which opened in 2015 and hosts around thirty vendors from the local and New England region. Tastings here include apple cider doughnuts and flavored roasted nuts. The final food stop is the Union Oyster House, the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the United States, where guests enjoy its signature chowder during a 45-minute visit. Additional brief stops include the Rose Kennedy Greenway, a park area with public art extending from the North End to Chinatown, and the New England Holocaust Memorial. Drinks such as coffee, tea, wine, and beer are not included, nor are tips for the guide. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
