Overview

This 9-hour deluxe bus tour covers a full circle of Oahu’s main island sights and includes a stop in Haleiwa town. The tour begins with a window view of Diamond Head, where you can see surfers from above. Next, the bus passes the Kahala Gold Coast, showing palatial estates along the shore. The route continues to Hanauma Bay, a marine sanctuary inside a volcanic crater home to many tropical fish species (closed on Tuesdays). Then the tour stops at Halona Blow Hole, a natural lava formation that shoots ocean spray up to 30 feet. The bus then reaches Nuuanu Pali lookout, offering views of the Koolau Mountains and the windward coast, as well as the historic site of the Battle of Nuuanu. After that, there is a visit to the Byodo-In Temple set in the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, where you can see koi ponds and tropical gardens and ring the temple bell. The tour continues with a stop at a Tropical Farm outlet selling Hawaiian coffee and macadamia nuts, where tasting is available. Next, there is a window view of the North Shore’s famous surfing beaches. Then you get 90 minutes to explore Haleiwa town on your own for lunch and shopping. After Haleiwa, the tour stops at the Dole Plantation for about 30 minutes to learn about pineapples, shop, or try the well-known DoleWhip. Finally, the bus passes downtown Honolulu with views of Chinatown and the Aloha Tower at the harbor. Throughout the tour, you travel in a deluxe bus equipped with onboard restrooms, original video content, bottled water, hand towelettes, and a walking map. Breakfast includes a poi malasada from Kamehameha Bakery. Pick-up and drop-off services are included. The driver also serves as a knowledgeable guide. The schedule and route may change.
