Overview

This tour lasts between four and eight hours and is conducted by a private guide using an air-conditioned car. Visitors can select either a half-day or a full-day itinerary. The Old Delhi portion begins at Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque built in 1656 with the help of 5,000 workers. Guests can walk around the red sandstone courtyard and view the mosque’s location opposite the Red Fort. After this, there is a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk market, including stops at Cham Cham Gali for shopping, Parathe Vali Gali for street food, and the local spice market. The tour also features an outside view of the Red Fort, a large Mughal palace built between 1639 and 1648 with a two-kilometer-long wall. Next is a visit to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, where the guide explains its religious and cultural significance. Visitors also see the Langar kitchen, where free meals are served to all, reflecting Sikh principles of community service. The New Delhi section covers several iconic landmarks seen from the outside: India Gate, a stone arch honoring about 90,000 Indian soldiers; Rashtrapati Bhavan, the presidential residence with 340 rooms and notable halls; and Parliament House, where India gained independence in 1947, though entry is not allowed. The tour continues with visits inside Humayun’s Tomb, the first garden tomb in India built by Humayun’s wife, then the Lotus Temple, a Bahai House of Worship shaped like a lotus flower where visitors may pray or meditate. The final stop is Qutub Minar, a five-story sandstone tower with Quranic inscriptions, constructed to symbolize Sultan Qutb-ud-din’s power. At the conclusion, the guide provides drop-off at any requested location within Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, or Faridabad. Water bottles and umbrellas are provided, and tickets, tuk-tuk rides, and car services are available if selected.
