Overview

This four-hour food tour takes place in Old Siam, the historic area of Bangkok. The tour begins with a local boat ride along a khlong canal, traveling through one of the city's waterways to reach a less-visited district of Old Bangkok. After disembarking, participants board a tuk tuk that transports them to one of Bangkok's oldest markets, Nang Loeng Market, which has been serving locals since 1899. The main portion of the tour is a walking food tour through the backstreets and market area, visiting family-run eateries and street food vendors that have operated for decades. The guide leads the group through more than 15 tastings, including dishes such as crispy hoi tod (fried mussel pancake), crispy pork belly, kanom buang yuan salad, leaf-wrapped miang kham, and several varieties of Thai curries. Between tastings, the tour includes stops to see the remains of Bangkok’s oldest cinema and a location where traditional royal Thai desserts are made. Bottled water, local soft drinks, the boat ticket, and tuk tuk rides are included in the tour. The group size is limited to eight guests per tour. This tour is not suitable for vegetarians, pescatarians, no-pork diets, or people with shellfish, peanut, or severe allergies due to the nature of the street food offered. The tour operates in all weather conditions, and guests should dress accordingly.
