Leave Yerevan for a refreshing escape to the “blue pearl of Armenia” – Lake Sevan, one of the world’s highest large freshwater lakes. Visit the Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula, where you can enjoy beautiful views over the deep-blue waters and surrounding mountains. Continue to the charming resort town of Tsaghkadzor (“valley of flowers”), known for its cool climate and mountain scenery. Here you’ll have free time to walk around the town, optionally visit Kecharis Monastery, and take the Tsaghkadzor ropeway (optional) to admire panoramic views from the slopes before returning to Yerevan in the evening.
