Nishijin-ori is a representative traditional Japanese textile that has been handed down in Kyoto for over 1,200 years. It is characterized by its advanced techniques that use vividly dyed, high-quality silk threads and gold and silver threads to weave complex and beautiful patterns. It is utilized not only for kimonos and obis but also for art pieces and interiors. Focusing on Nishijin-ori, a traditional industry of Kyoto that Japan is proud of, this exhibition showcases the techniques and beauty that have been passed down for a long time, along with a modern sensibility. - You can enjoy a traditional cultural experience that touches on the Japanese aesthetic sense. We offer a "Uchikake Dressing Experience" where you can enjoy taking photos wearing a kimono worn by a bride, and a "Tea Ceremony Experience" where you can participate while seated. - Excellent access to the museum located on the 1st floor of Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka! - Directly connected underground from "Nakanoshima" Station on the Keihan Nakanoshima Line. - A free shuttle bus operates from JR "Osaka" Station to Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka.
