Next, the group stops at Rotary Beach Park for about 30 minutes to explore the black sand beaches and beachcomb, depending on the tide. The tour then proceeds to Herring Cove for another 30-minute stop to look for wildlife such as black bears, eagles, cranes, harbor seals, and various birds; however, animal sightings are not guaranteed. Finally, the tour stops for 15 minutes at a waterfall located on the south end near 10 Mile, noted as a significant natural feature. The entire tour lasts about two hours and takes place in a clean, air-conditioned, and heated vehicle. Umbrellas and binoculars are provided for guest use during the tour.
