Overview

This 1.5-hour walking tour covers both Oxford city and the University of Oxford. The tour begins at the blue gates of Trinity College and proceeds through some of the oldest colleges, typically including New College, founded in 1379 and known for its appearance in the Harry Potter films. The route continues through central Oxford, visiting key landmarks such as the Bodleian Library, the Sheldonian Theatre, the Radcliffe Camera, and several college quadrangles. The total walking distance is up to about a mile (1.5 kilometers). A local guide leads the tour and all entrance fees are included. Participants will learn about the history, traditions, and customs of the University of Oxford, as well as the city’s involvement in royal and scientific events.
