Overview

Upon arrival at Paronella Park in Queensland, visitors receive an admission ticket that includes two guided tours and free time for self-guided exploration. The visit begins with access to the Dream Continues Guided Tour, a 45-minute walk introducing the key features of the park and the story of its creator, José Paronella. This tour runs every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 4:30pm and highlights the park’s castles, tunnels, bridges, fountains, and secret staircases. After the daytime tour, visitors can explore the park at their own pace along a botanical walk. A 16-page booklet identifying 88 types of flora is provided, and tree species are marked throughout the grounds. The park is set within a rainforest environment with about 7,500 trees. Guests may dine at the open-air Café on the Deck (meals not included) or bring their own food. A minimum of three hours is recommended for the visit. In the evening, the Darkness Falls Guided Tour offers a chance to see the park illuminated by floodlights powered by a restored hydroelectric generator. This one-hour night tour begins at about 6:15pm and reveals the park’s features in a different light. The full visit, including both tours and self-guided time, can last up to 10 hours.
