Overview

The Passions of Paradise Great Barrier Reef 9-hour catamaran cruise departs from Cairns at 8:00 AM, with check-in starting at 7:00 AM and closing at 7:45 AM at the Reef Fleet Terminal. The 80-foot high-speed catamaran sails to two outer Great Barrier Reef locations selected daily from 27 possible sites based on weather conditions to provide the best reef experience. At each location, guests can snorkel with guided instruction and attend a marine naturalist presentation. Certified divers aged 12 and over who meet Queensland medical requirements may choose to scuba dive. Divers must have a Queensland Dive Medical if they have certain medical conditions or use prescription medications and must not plan air travel within 24 hours of diving, allowing at least 18 hours between diving and flying. The cruise includes a hot and cold buffet lunch prepared by a chef, tea and coffee on arrival, and light snacks served throughout the day. Winter wetsuits, summer sun suits, prescription masks, and snorkeling equipment are provided. All marine park fees and levies are included. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the onboard bar. Return transfers from Cairns City and Cairns Northern Beaches can be arranged for an additional fee if booked in advance. Guests are advised to bring swimwear, towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
