Overview

Travel by deluxe air-conditioned vehicle from Waikiki hotels on this small-group tour lasting about 8 and a half hours. The driver provides narration about Hawaiian history and events related to World War II during the ride. Begin at the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites Visitor Center, where you can see memorials, exhibits, a gift shop, and a clear view of the USS Arizona Memorial from the shore. Next, visit the USS Arizona Memorial itself, where up to 40 minutes are spent at the site commemorating the 1,102 sailors and Marines who died during the December 7, 1941 attack. If boat launch tickets are available, they are included; if not, the memorial is viewed from the shoreline. Then, explore the Battleship Missouri Memorial on your own for up to an hour, where the Japanese surrender that ended World War II took place. The final stop is the Ford Island Control Tower, where an 80-minute guided tour at the top of the historic tower offers 360-degree views of Pearl Harbor, Battleship Row, and the Arizona Memorial, with information about the island's role in the war. Lunch is served at the Hangar Cafe located at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Bottled water, hotel pickup and drop-off in Waikiki, and professional guiding are included. Gratuities are not included.
