Overview

This full-day bus tour lasts about 11 to 13 hours, starting with a drive from New York City through New Jersey into Pennsylvania. The trip begins in Philadelphia with a visit to the Liberty Bell Center, followed by stops at Congress Hall and Constitution Square. Participants spend time walking along Elfreth's Alley, known as America's oldest continuously inhabited street. The tour continues with a panoramic drive through Philadelphia’s Financial District, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and historic areas, including a view of the Rocky Statue and the famous Rocky Steps. After leaving Philadelphia, the tour heads east to Lancaster County, the region traditionally inhabited by the Amish. Here, guests take a ride in an authentic Amish horse-drawn buggy through farm country. The guide explains Amish lifestyle customs, including their avoidance of modern technology such as electricity and running water. After the buggy ride, there is time to visit a marketplace offering handmade Amish crafts and goods. The tour ends with an evening return to New York City. Included in the price are transportation by either a 15-passenger van or a full-sized bus, Wi-Fi on the bus, a professional guide, sightseeing in Philadelphia and Amish Country, and the Amish buggy ride. Hotel pickup and drop-off, as well as gratuities, are not included. The company has partnered with One Tree Planted to plant one tree per passenger and an extra tree for guests booking multiple trips.
