Overview

Philadelphia is the city where the United States declared independence. This hop-on hop-off bus tour runs on a loop of about 90 minutes, starting at the Bourse Building near Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Passengers use multi-lingual audio headsets in English, French, German, Spanish, or Mandarin to hear commentary about the city’s history. The route includes stops at historic sites such as the Christ Church Burial Grounds, Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and Independence Hall. Heading west, the bus passes Chinatown’s Friendship Gate and Philadelphia’s City Hall with its notable architecture. Along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, riders can see several museums, including the Barnes Foundation, which houses the world’s largest post-impressionist art collection. The tour finishes with a drive through the Society Hill neighborhood and along the Delaware River waterfront. The ticket options allow for 1, 2, or 3 days of hop-on hop-off access aboard a London-style double decker bus with live commentary from professional local guides. Admission fees to attractions are not included.
