Overview

Phillip Island’s south coast features the Nobbies boardwalk and Seal Rocks, home to a large fur seal colony. This express day trip from Melbourne lasts about 8 to 10 hours and includes a visit to these coastal sites with views of rugged cliffs and sea bird gardens. Visitors spend around 30 minutes at the Nobbies observing the coastline and seal colony. The main event is the Penguin Parade at dusk, where the largest colony of little penguins in Victoria emerges from the sea and walks across Summerland Beach to their burrows. The tour includes a two-hour visit to the parade area with access to the new visitor centre, paths, and boardwalks to learn about penguin behavior and possibly spot penguins resting near their burrows. The tour is conducted by a friendly guide on an air-conditioned vehicle with onboard WiFi. Entry fees for the Penguin Parade and park access are included.
