This four-hour motorized jeep tour starts early in the morning to take advantage of the clearest weather. The trip begins with a ride to the summit of Pikes Peak, also called America’s Mountain, via the 19-mile Pikes Peak Highway. A local cowboy Jeep guide drives an open-air vehicle, providing bottled water and wool blankets for comfort. At the summit, guests have time to view the landscape that inspired the song “America The Beautiful.” After descending the highway back toward Colorado Springs, the tour continues with a drive through Garden of the Gods Park. Visitors see the park’s distinctive red rock formations and surrounding scenery from the Jeep. The tour includes a local guide who shares information about the natural features and history of the area. Guests should note the tour is not private and children under six months old are not allowed.
