Overview

This full-day bus and train tour from Florence covers two key Italian destinations: the colorful villages of Cinque Terre and the historic sites of Pisa. The day begins with a two-hour transfer from Florence to La Spezia by minivan or, if chosen, independently by train with instructions provided. On arrival at La Spezia, participants board local trains to reach Cinque Terre, where the focus is on the villages of Vernazza and Manarola. Vernazza offers about an hour and a half to explore its harbor and historic center, while Manarola provides two hours to visit its harbor area and viewpoints. Train tickets between villages are included. After Cinque Terre, the group returns to La Spezia and then transfers by bus or minivan to Pisa, arriving around mid-afternoon. Visitors have over an hour of free time at Piazza dei Miracoli, home to the Leaning Tower, Cathedral, and Baptistery. Entrance fees to climb the tower or enter the monuments are not included but can be arranged separately. The day concludes with a return transfer to Florence, lasting about 90 minutes depending on traffic. An English-speaking local guide provides information throughout, and the group size is limited to eight people. Lunch and gratuities are not included.
