Overview

Pompeii is the world’s only Roman city preserved almost entirely intact after the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius. Buried under ash and mud, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a unique glimpse into antiquity. Departing from Naples, the tour begins with a two-hour guided exploration of the ruins. The journey continues to the summit of Mount Vesuvius, the iconic "giant" of the Bay of Naples.
