Overview

This small-group boat tour from Sorrento lasts about 7 to 8 hours and carries up to 12 guests along the Amalfi Coast. The tour starts at Porto di Sorrento, where participants board the boat and check in. The boat sails along the Sorrento coastline for approximately 50 minutes before reaching the Amalfi Coast. Along the route, guests pass by the fishing village of Marina Grande and the ruins of a Roman villa near Bagni della Regina Giovanna dating back to the 1st century BC. The boat also passes the Punta Campanella marine reserve, where an ancient temple dedicated to Athena can be seen from the sea. The tour continues past Baia di Ieranto, known as the legendary home of the Sirens from Greek mythology, and the Li Galli archipelago, composed of three islands linked to the myth of Ulysses. The boat navigates the Amalfi Coast, including the Fjord of Furore, before docking in Amalfi. Guests have 1.5 hours of free time in Amalfi to explore the town’s cathedral, narrow alleys, and artisan shops. Then the boat heads to Positano, where there is a 2-hour free period to walk along the beach, visit the town’s streets, and have lunch independently. After Positano, the boat stops for swimming in the Amalfi Coast’s waters for about 30 minutes. The return trip to Porto di Sorrento takes roughly one hour, with disembarkation around 4:30 pm. Drinks including a bottle of prosecco per boat, soft drinks, water, beer, and seasonal fruit are provided on board. Facilities include a restroom, outdoor shower, scuba masks, and safety equipment. The tour is led by a professional skipper and includes fuel and life jackets for each guest. Lunch and beach towels are not included, and there is a fee for assistance at embarkation. Guests with allergies should bring antihistamines for insect or jellyfish stings. In case of bad sea conditions, the tour may be rescheduled or cancelled with a full refund for safety.
