Overview

This private day tour lasts about nine hours and covers key sites in Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City, including several uphill locations. The tour begins with hotel pickup within Cebu City, Mandaue, or Lapu-Lapu City, or airport pickup if scheduled on the same day. Transportation is private and all entrance fees and taxes are included. The first stop is the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu, a church founded in 1565, where visitors spend about fifteen minutes. Next is Magellan's Cross, a Christian cross planted in 1521, also visited for about fifteen minutes. Both sites observe a strict dress code and may be closed during the Novena mass in January 2025. The tour continues to Fort San Pedro, a Spanish military fort in Plaza Independencia, followed by the Heritage of Cebu Monument, with about fifteen minutes at each. Then the group visits the 17th-century Yap Sandiego Ancestral House, known for its hand-carved furniture and garden, and the Cebu Taoist Temple built in 1972 by the Chinese community. The Alegre Guitar Factory, owned by Fernando M. Alegre, is next. On Mactan Island, the Mactan Shrine is included. The tour also covers the Temple of Leah, a Roman-style temple built in 2012. Uphill spots include Tops Lookout, offering panoramic views of Cebu City, Mandaue, Mactan Island, and Bohol’s coast, and the Sirao Pictorial Garden, a flower garden known for its colorful displays. Each location is visited for about fifteen minutes. Lunch is served at the House of Lechon with a plated meal included; any cost beyond the allotted amount is charged separately. The tour does not include a Department of Tourism accredited guide unless requested for an additional fee. Bottled water is not provided.
