Aswan is a city with important historical landmarks along the Nile. This private day tour lasts about four hours and includes visits to three key sites with a private Egyptologist guide. The tour begins with hotel pickup in Aswan and a motorboat ride to Philae Temple, a complex dedicated to the goddess Isis that remained active until the Byzantine era. Visitors spend around one hour exploring the temple and its surroundings. Next, the tour continues to the Unfinished Obelisk site, where the guide explains the history of this large ancient quarry stone, commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut for Karnak Temple. The visit here also lasts about one hour. The final stop is the Aswan High Dam, located 13 kilometers south of the city. The dam measures 3600 meters long, 980 meters thick at its base, and 111 meters high. It holds 18 times the volume of material used to build the Great Pyramid of Khufu and is responsible for creating Lake Nasser, one of the largest manmade lakes worldwide. The High Dam site is explored for about an hour. After the visits, the tour ends with a return to the hotel in Aswan. The price includes a private English-speaking Egyptologist guide, hotel pickup and drop-off, and the motorboat ride to Philae Temple. Entrance fees and certain pickups outside central Aswan are not included.
