This private cooking class takes place in a small home in the Yanaka neighborhood of Tokyo. The instructor, Madam Yajima, guides participants through preparing traditional Japanese dishes using local ingredients and flavors in a warm and comfortable setting. The two-hour session includes step-by-step instruction on filleting fish, grilling teriyaki, and arranging okonomiyaki. All fresh ingredients and kitchen tools are provided. After cooking, participants prepare and eat a Japanese lunch box called Bento, which contains a balanced selection of colorful and healthy items. Special menu requests, including options for allergies, vegetarian, and vegan diets, can be made when booking; some requests may require an additional fee.
