Manchester Departure | Lake District Day Tour Leave behind the hustle and bustle of Manchester and head to England's charming Lake District National Park. The Lake District is famous for its beautiful lakes and mountains, and ancient trees, earning it the nickname "Poet's Paradise." It inspired literary figures such as William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Morning [Windermere Lake Bowness-on-Windermere] The first stop of the day is Bowness-on-Windermere, located on the shore of Lake Windermere. You can take a 45-minute boat cruise to leisurely enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains, or stroll through the town to experience the charming atmosphere of the Lake District. Please note that boat cruises may be canceled due to weather conditions. Afternoon [Kirkstone Pass] [Grasmere] (Lunch at your own expense) [Coniston Water] Along the way, you will pass through the magnificent Kirkstone Pass, with its rolling hills and spectacular scenery. Remember to prepare your camera to capture the beautiful views. Upon arrival in Grasmere, Wordsworth once described it as "the most beautiful place mankind has ever found." You can freely visit Wordsworth's [Dove Cottage], taste the legendary gingerbread, or experience the tranquil atmosphere of the River Rothay at the [Wordsworth Daffodil Garden]. Afterwards, travel along the southern end of Windermere to Coniston Water, another beautiful lake in the Lake District, to enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air. Evening [Hawkshead] The last stop is the charming conservation village of [Hawkshead], where Wordsworth attended grammar school. The village is quaint and full of charm, with cobblestone alleys and white stone houses intertwined, preserving a rich historical atmosphere. We will return to Manchester around 7:30 PM, concluding a fulfilling and wonderful day trip to the Lake District.
