by Storytellers Eco Cycle and Walking Tours
This five-hour guided bike tour follows a relaxed route along Rarotonga’s 'back road' known as Ara Metua, including lanes and some gentle bush tracks. The small group rides at an easy pace, passing through local villages and enjoying the island’s natural scenery. The guide stops frequently to explain points of interest along the way. The main stop is in Arorangi village on the west coast, where the group may visit the local prison, CICC Arorangi church, a palace, Black Rock, and village gardens during the 3-hour cycling segment. The tour concludes with a local lunch served at the beach, followed by an opportunity to swim. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as is all cycling equipment such as well-maintained bicycles and helmets.
