Overview
This 2.5-hour boat cruise departs from Reykjavik and takes guests away from city lights to a location in the North Atlantic Ocean where the northern lights are most visible. The vessel offers heated indoor seating and free WiFi for comfort during the trip. Thermal overalls, including children's sizes, are provided to help keep warm. Crew members assist with photography upon request, and photos taken during the tour are available to download at no extra charge. Food and drinks can be bought on board, but are not included in the price. If the northern lights are not seen, guests receive a free ticket to return on another available tour date. Hotel transfers are not included but can be arranged for an additional fee. The tour operates only in favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to weather, guests may reschedule or get a full refund if they have not taken the tour before. If sea conditions prevent sailing but the lights are likely visible, a bus tour option is offered at the same price without refund eligibility.

Northern-Lights-Boat-Tour
This 2 - 3 hour tour departs from Reykjavík's Old Harbour on a heated, well-equipped boat. After 15 - 20 minutes, the boat leaves city lights behind and reaches Faxaflói bay, an area suitable for observing the Aurora above the mountains and coastline. Passengers can stay warm on deck with complimentary overalls, including children's sizes, while a guide explains the science and folklore of the Northern Lights from various cultures. An indoor café/bar and an original Northern Lights video are available for warming up. Crew members take photos during the tour, which can be viewed later in a Daily Diary. If no Northern Lights are seen, guests receive a free ticket for a future tour, valid indefinitely. The tour depends heavily on weather conditions.
