Around 2:00 PM, [Hanshan Temple, admission ticket included] Hanshan Temple is located in the western suburbs of Suzhou and has a history of over 1,400 years. It is famous throughout the world for the line "From Hanshan Temple outside Gusu City, the midnight bell reaches the passenger boat" from the Tang Dynasty poet Zhang Ji's famous poem "Night Mooring at Maple Bridge." Hanshan Temple is a famous place for blessings, with an endless stream of devotees coming to ring the bell, offer incense, and pray for peace every day. Around 2:30 PM, [Fengqiao Scenic Area, free] Fengqiao is north of Hanshan Temple, less than a hundred paces from the temple gate, like a crescent moon spanning the Fengjiang River. Around 3:30 PM, [Seven-Mile Shantang, free, free activity] It is about seven miles long, hence the name "Seven-Mile Shantang." Shantang Street has a thousand-year history and was built under the supervision of the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Juyi when he was an official in Suzhou.
