by Hiking in the Rockies
Participants begin by meeting the guide near Denver to start a group hiking tour on a selected trail in the Rocky Mountains. The hike lasts about five hours and is designed to avoid confusion or getting lost, with the guide leading the way. Along the trail, hikers will have snacks provided and can request extra clothing items like hats, gloves, or layers if arranged beforehand. During winter, spikes for additional shoe traction are available for those who need them. The tour also offers opportunities to meet and walk with new people. Bottled water is not included, and hikers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce environmental impact.
Rocky-Mountains-Hike
Participants will carpool to a hiking trail within an hour's drive from Denver and hike for 2 to 4 hours in the Rocky Mountains. The hike includes opportunities to see wildlife, learn about wildflowers and trees, take snack and water breaks, and breathe fresh mountain air. In winter, "Yak Traks" are provided to improve shoe traction on ice and snow. Lunch options vary depending on the hike length: sandwiches may be picked up en route to eat on the trail, or lunch can be taken together or individually after the hike. The hike is easy to moderate for those in good physical condition but may be difficult for those unaccustomed to altitude. The elevation ranges from 6,000 to 12,000 feet, and the location is west of Denver but not within Rocky Mountain National Park. A minimum of 2 hikers is required, and the trail is chosen based on the group's preferences.
