This tour lasts about two and a half hours and begins with first access to the Vatican Museums before the general public arrives. An English-speaking guide leads the group through several important sections of the Museums, including the Gallery of Maps, the Raphael Rooms, and the Museo Pio Clementino. The visit includes about fifteen minutes in the Cortile della Pigna courtyard, where guests can see the large bronze Pinecone sculpture and the nearby Sphere within a Sphere by Arnaldo Pomodoro. The guide may demonstrate the Sphere's rotating mechanism. In the Museo Pio Clementino, the guide points out notable statues such as the Laocoonte and Apollo Belvedere and highlights the painted ceilings in the Candelabra Gallery.
