by Rosebank Distillery
The Rosebank Distillery, originally established in 1840 and located in Falkirk near Edinburgh and Glasgow, has been fully restored to operate as one of Scotland's important working whisky distilleries. This guided experience lasts about 90 minutes and begins with a presentation of the distillery's history projected onto the original warehouse walls. The tour continues through the distillery to explain the whisky-making process, including a visit to the glass-fronted still house housing three large copper pot stills. Visitors also see the warehouse where whisky casks are stored. The tour ends in a tasting room where participants receive a tutored tasting of two 25cl single malt whiskies - Glengoyne 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt and Tamdhu 12 Year Old Speyside Single Malt - plus a sample of Rosebank New Make Spirit. The tour is led by a Distillery Ambassador and includes all alcoholic beverages sampled during the tasting.
