Overview
The Northern Lights Photography Hunting Experience in Rovaniemi lasts about three hours. The tour starts in Rovaniemi and travels by vehicle to locations with the darkest skies and least light pollution, based on current weather and aurora forecasts. The professional aurora hunter guides the trip, providing information about the Arctic environment, local lifestyle, and the northern lights. The guide uses a professional camera to find and photograph the auroras, helping participants understand how to spot and capture them. Hot tea and coffee are provided during the tour, and the vehicle has air conditioning for comfort. All fees and taxes are included. Winter overalls and boots are not included but can be rented in advance. Participants must be at least eight years old.

Northern-Lights-Observation-Drive
The guide will drive away from Rovaniemi to locations with the best conditions for observing the Northern Lights, based on experience and analysis of weather and solar activity. The aurora guide carries a professional camera to photograph guests and the lights, monitor the sky, and anticipate aurora appearances; all photos are emailed after the tour. The group will stop at as many places as needed and travel as far as conditions require. Participants can learn about stars, night orientation, Northern Lights legends, Lapland cultural aspects, and the scientific background of the aurora during the excursion.
