by Academy of Rum
The Rum Making Masterclass takes place at Galleon Beach in Antigua and lasts 90 minutes. Participants work in small groups with two people per station. The session begins with an introduction to rum production, including the distillation process and aging methods. Attendees meet the master distiller, who explains the techniques used to create different rum flavors. The class includes tasting a variety of rums and hands-on use of stills to produce distillate. Participants also try making their own flavored rum and learn how to mix cocktails using the spirits. Alcoholic beverages are provided throughout the class. This masterclass offers a detailed and practical look at rum making in a relaxed beach setting. It is not recommended for people with severe nut allergies.
Rum-Making Class
Guests arrive at the distillery for a one-hour session to craft their own rum. The experience begins with a tasting of six local rums. Participants then blend flavors and add ingredients to produce a 750ml bottle with a custom label. Each shared class accommodates two people who create one flavor and share one bottle to take home.
