The San Diego Zoo Safari Park covers 1,800 acres and is home to more than 3,600 animals from over 300 species. Visitors may spend between 2 and 8 hours exploring the park’s expansive savanna habitats, where mixed herds of animals live together in naturalistic settings. The park also features a botanical collection with over 1.3 million plant specimens representing more than 3,700 species. The 1-Day Pass is an any-day ticket that includes admission to all animal exhibits and shows throughout the park. It also includes unlimited rides on the Africa Tram, a guided tour that travels across the park’s grounds to see animals such as lions, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, and other wildlife. Additional safari experiences, including wildlife safari trucks, electric carts, and zip lines, are available for an extra fee. Tickets must be purchased at least one day before the visit, and mobile tickets can be scanned directly for entry. The park is located about 40 miles from downtown San Diego. Strollers and wheelchairs are available for rental at the entrance plaza. Food, drinks, parking fees, hotel transfers, and special ticketed experiences are not included with this ticket.
