by Sidewalk Food Tours of San Francisco
The tour begins on foot in San Francisco's Mission District, where participants spend about three hours visiting five different food locations. At each stop, guests taste dishes from local mom-and-pop shops, ethnic restaurants, and bakeries. The first stop is Craftsman & Wolves, known for its blend of food and design, where the group samples the "Rebel Within" muffin. Next, the tour visits a place serving authentic Mexican tacos made with fresh ingredients. After that, the group tries Venezuelan arepas at Arepas Latin Cuisine. The fourth stop offers hand-made, baked empanadas with options for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Finally, the tour ends at a French-style bakery where guests can skip the regular line. A local guide accompanies the group throughout, providing information about the neighborhood’s food scene, culture, and history. Lunch and all food tastings are included. The tour lasts about three hours and does not provide hotel pickup or drop-off.
