Overview

This 7 to 8-hour tour begins with pickup at either the Westin St. Francis Hotel near Union Square or in front of Hotel Caza at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Guests should arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 9:00 a.m. or 9:15 a.m., depending on the pickup location. The tour starts with a ride through San Francisco’s famous Painted Ladies neighborhood, followed by a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for a 10-minute photo break where participants receive a complimentary mimosa. Afterward, the group travels in a vintage VW bus to Sonoma Valley wine country. The first winery visited is Roche Winery in the Carneros region, where guests enjoy a seated tasting of estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir while overlooking the vineyards. The second stop is VJB Cellars, an Italian-style winery, where guests have a seated wine tasting accompanied by a lunch of their choice. Lunch options include artisan cheeses, salami, fresh deli items, green salads, pizza, and vegetarian and gluten-free selections. The final winery is Deerfield Ranch Winery, a certified organic vineyard where tastings usually take place inside a 23,000-square-foot wine cave. The tour includes bottled water, a light snack, complimentary mimosas, and a professional guide who provides commentary about San Francisco and the surrounding region throughout the day. Guests may also request to have lunch at Sonoma Plaza instead of the winery, depending on group preference. The vehicle seats up to seven people, and all participants must complete a digital waiver before the tour. COVID-19 safety measures include mask requirements on the bus, plexiglass partitions, hand sanitizer, and regular disinfection of touchpoints. Gratuities, lunch cost, and tasting fees are not included.
