Overview

The San Sebastian E-bike Tour lasts two hours and twenty minutes and includes the use of a bicycle and a professional guide. The tour starts on Reyes Católicos street, where participants meet the guide and get familiar with their bikes. The group cycles first to the Buen Pastor Cathedral, an important historic site. Next, the route crosses the Puente de Santa Catalina, the first bridge built in the city, offering views of notable buildings that show San Sebastian's growth over time. The ride continues through the Gros neighborhood, known for its local atmosphere and social life. At Cataluña Plaza, the guide explains daily life and living costs in this area. Cyclists then reach Zurriolako Hondartza (Zurriola Beach), where they see the Bay of Biscay and watch surfers. The route passes the Kursaal building, known for its controversial history, and the Ayuntamiento de San Sebastian, which marks the boundary between the old town and the newer city area. From Paseo Nuevo, riders have views of the city and ocean. Following the boulevard that separates the old and new parts of the city, the tour arrives at La Concha Beach. Here, the group stops for about fifteen minutes to learn about local legends and the small trees planted along the beach. The ride continues along the bidegorri bike path beside La Concha to Miramar Palace and then to Ondarreta Beach, where the guide shares its history. The tour includes a visit to Peine del Viento, a site featuring contemporary Basque art and views from the opposite side of the city. From there, the route leads to the end of the bay, showing modern Basque art and passing through authentic neighborhoods that reflect different social aspects of San Sebastian's past and present. The guide provides cultural insights throughout the tour, highlighting Basque traditions and local life. The return follows the Urumea River back to the city center, passing villas and bourgeois palaces. The tour concludes at Reyes Católicos street, a recommended place for food. The guide is available to answer questions before the tour ends. Participants may also choose to join the operator's Pinxto tour afterwards.
