Participants start by meeting their guide at West Beach, located directly across from the Harbor View Inn Hotel in Santa Barbara. The 90-minute kayak tour takes place on the water near the harbor, where guests paddle in single or tandem kayaks provided by the company. A local guide leads the group, pointing out boats in the harbor and introducing sea lions and seals seen nearby. Throughout the tour, the guide offers information about Santa Barbara’s main sights and the surrounding Santa Ynez Mountains. There is also a chance to spot dolphins during the outing. The pace of the kayaking is adjusted to the group’s preferences and skill levels. Life jackets are provided for safety, and all participants must be able to swim. Children aged 5 to 11 are required to kayak in tandem with an adult. This tour can be booked as a private or group experience, depending on the traveler’s preference. No hotel pickup or drop-off is included, so guests must arrive at the meeting point on their own. Bringing a swimsuit and towel is recommended for comfort after the tour.
