by Huaso Tours Bike Rental
This 2-hour panoramic bike tour in Santiago takes place in a small group of up to seven participants. The tour begins at Huaso Tours & Bike Rental, where riders receive a 10-minute introduction and bike fitting. From there, the route heads east to Parque De Las Esculturas (Sculpture Park), an outdoor museum of Latin American sculptures, with a short stop to enjoy the views. Next, cyclists pass through the financial district of Sanhattan, where they see the Costanera Center, the tallest building in Latin America. The ride continues along the bike paths of the modern Vitacura neighborhood. Afterward, the group reaches Parque Bicentenario (Bicentennial Park), where there is a 15-minute stop to cycle along paths featuring lagoons with koi fish, black-necked swans, and flamingos. On the return, riders choose between two options: an easy route along parks and bike paths by the Mapocho River or a more challenging 30-minute uphill ride on trails in Santiago Metropolitan Park leading to San Cristóbal Hill. The uphill ride is followed by a downhill return with panoramic city views. The final segment includes about 15 minutes of biking on Metropolitan Park trails back to the starting point. The tour includes the use of a Trek 3900 or Mongoose mountain bike, helmet, biking gloves, a water bottle, and an emergency kit. Food, drinks, gratuities, and hotel pickup or drop-off are not included. The tour is available for participants between 4 feet 5 inches and 6 feet 6 inches tall.
