The tour begins at the Sarasota departure point with a safety briefing and instructions. Participants receive a winter dry wind jacket, a life jacket, bottled water, and waterproof bags for personal belongings. The route follows the Intracoastal Waterway, passing Lido Key Beach and Bird Key. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license. Those born after January 1998 must complete a temporary boater’s test before the tour.
